MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024066 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'adaptable drilling assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Satendra Singh; and Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable drilling assistive device, comprising a cylindrical body 1 having a first and second end, first end is accessed by a user for engaging body 1 over a slot crafted on a drilling machine, a touch interactive display panel 2 enables user for providing input regarding a user-desired length of a cavity which is to be drilled, multiple suction units 3 affixes body 1 on surface, an imaging unit 4 in sync with an ultrasonic sensor monitors length of drill bit penetrated in surface, an electromagnetically power spring 5 for increasing/decreasing length of body 1 over surface, multiple suction cups 6 acquires grip on drilling machine over slot, and multiple dampers 7 absorbs shock generated due to drilling in order to prevent experiencing of shock on user's hand."
