MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023555 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'adaptable facial hair removal assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sweety Ahalawat; and Dr. Kundan Kumar Chaubey.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable facial hair removal assistive device, comprising a frame 1 having a pair of elongated plate 2 and installed with a handle 3 accessed by user to position the frame 1 near user's face, AI based imaging unit 4 to determine presence of a facial hair strand on the user's face, linear actuator 5 to extend/retract to position pair of elongated plate 2 near the user's skin where the hair strand is detected, extendable curved member 6 to extend/retract for positioning suction cup 7 near the detected hair strand, suction cup 7 to adhere to the portion of the user's skin, motorized hinge joint 9 to provide converging/diverging movement to a C-shaped clamp 8, C-shaped clamp 8 to open/close to acquire grip of the hair strand, vessel 11 for storing a soothing gel and an electronically controlled nozzle 10 to dispense a soothing gel on the user's skin."
