MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025996 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable floor-designing assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable floor-designing assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 provides input specifications regarding a user-desired pattern that is to be crafted on a wet cemented segment on surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determines position of wet cemented segment, plurality of motorized wheels 4 move platform 1, a LiDAR sensor determines distance of segment from platform 1, a L-shaped telescopically operated rod 5 extends/retracts for positioning a rectangular bar 6 on portion and accordingly particular distances and portions that are to be crafted is evaluated, plurality of telescopically operated pins 7 extend/retract for increasing/decreasing dimensions of pins 7, a dual axis motorized sliding unit translates pins 7 to get arranged, a slider plate applies pressure on bar 6 for getting penetrating in portion of segment for crafting segment in accordance to user-desired pattern."
