MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023129 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'adaptable foot-resting device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable foot-resting device, comprising a frame 1 positioned on a fixed surface, plurality of suction cups 2 arranged underneath the frame 1 to secure the frame 1 on the surface, a microphone integrated on the frame 1 to receive voice commands, an imaging unit 3 integrated in the frame 1 to determine position of the user's feet, a plate 4 arranged on the frame 1 by means of a pair of telescopically operated rods 5 for enabling the user to accommodate the user's feet on the plate 4, plurality of Peltier units 6 integrated on the frame 1 for maintaining temperature of the plate 4 as per the user-specified temperature, a vibration sensor embedded on the frame 1 for detecting vibrations experienced while the car is driving, plurality of electromagnetic springs 7 arranged on the plate 4 for reducing impact of the vibrations on the user's legs."
