MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025500 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adaptable foot supporting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Komal Saini; Dr. Saurabh Sharma; Dr. Gurpreet Kandav; Komal; and Mamik Verma.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable foot supporting device, comprising a wearable component 1 developed to be worn by a user on the user's foot prior wearing a footwear, cushioned pad 2 for allowing the user to rest the user's forefoot on the pad 2 in view of providing comfort to the user, a pair of curved inflatable patches 3 to get inflated dimensions of the user's foot,, padded cup 4 for supporting heel of the user's foot, pair of extendable links 5 to extend for getting positioned behind ankle of the user, motorized ball and socket joint 7 to provide rotational movement to balls 6 for providing massage behind the user's ankle, motorized roller 8 to rotate for tightening/loosening a looped strap and roller 8 for providing support to the user's foot while wearing the component 1."
