MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084459 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 11, 2023, for 'adaptable high diving assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Richa Mehta; Manvir Kaur; and Shivani Goyal.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable high diving assistive device, comprising a frame 1 developed to be installed vertically in proximity to coping of a swimming pool, a L-shaped sliding unit 2 attached with frame 1 and installed with a platform 3 accessed by user wearing a live jacket for getting accommodated on platform 3, a touch interactive display panel 4 installed on the platform 3 accessed by user for selecting desired style of performing high diving, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 installed on frame 1 for capturing and determining height of user, a pair of plates 6 attached at apex of frame 1 and installed with a clamping unit 7 assembled underneath plate 6 via an extendable bar 8 for gripping user's harness to suspend user over pool, and an electromagnetically powered spring 9 installed between plate 6 that energized/de-energized by microcontroller for providing to and fro movement to user over pool."
