MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020753 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'adaptable lipstick maintenance assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable lipstick maintenance assistive device, comprises of a platform 1 with plurality of slots 2 for lipsticks storage, imaging unit 3 captures images of the platform 1 to determine dimensions of lipsticks, an expandable pulley arrangement 4 expand/contract slot to accommodate lipstick, a microphone 5 accessed by user to give input commands of user desired operation, a robotic arm 7 grips the lipstick to be sharpened, a rotating blade 8 sharpens the blunt lipstick, an elongated plate 9 extracts the lipstick for making lip balm, a multi-sectioned chamber 11 stores craped out lipstick and moisturizer, an iris lid 13 opens/closes to dispense scraped lipstick, mixing container receives dispensed material, a stirrer 15 rotate to mix the contents to make user specified lip balm."
