MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088381 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'adaptable nail grooming device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an adaptable nail grooming device, comprising a platform 1 configured with plurality of suction cups 2 affixed on a surface, a curved member 3 configured over platform 1 for allowing user to position their foot, a roller 4 wrapped with a strap 5 mapped on member 3 for allowing user to secure strap 5 with a locking unit 6 mapped on member 3, a display panel 7 configured on platform 1 for enabling user's input regarding grooming operations, a sharpening arrangement 8 mapped with the member 3 for performing pedicure operation, an imaging unit 9 mapped on platform 1 for detecting nail filing, an extendible plate 10 mapped with member 3 for collecting waste produced while filing the nails, a multi-sectioned chamber 11 embedded on platform 1 for storing paints and a robotic link 12 mapped on body for applying nail paint over the nails."
