MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014317 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'adaptable pipe joining device.'

Inventor(s) include Rajdeep Singh; Rachin Goyal; Ravinder Singh; and Prateek Ranjan.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable pipe joining device comprises of a frame 1 having an elongated handle 2 for acquiring a grip on the frame 1, a plate 3 is mounted on the frame 1 with the handle 2 for positioning a pipe which is to be joined in proximity to the plate 3, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 mounted on the frame 1 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1 to determine positioning of the pipe in proximity to the plate 3, a motorized first clamping unit 5 is installed on the plate 3 for acquiring a grip on end of the pipe, a multi-sectioned chamber is organized on the handle 2 and access by a robotic arm installed on the frame 1 to access the evaluated dimension of connector from the chamber and position the connector in proximity to the plate 3."
