MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023123 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'adaptable pouring assistive device for tetra packs.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable pouring assistive device for tetra packs, comprising a cuboidal shaped body 1 fabricated with a handle 2 accessed by a user to position frame on a fixed surface, an imaging unit 3 to determine dimensions of a tetra pack positioned in proximity to body 1, a robotic gripper 5 to acquire a grip of the tetra pack for accommodating the pack in the body 1, a microphone 7 for enabling a user to provide input voice commands for opening/closing lid of tetra pack, a robotic arm 8 to acquire a grip of the lid for providing a twisting movement to the lid for opening lid, an angle sensor embedded on body 1 for monitoring inclination of body 1 with respect to the surface and an inverted T-shaped link 9 arranged on the body 1 to extend/retract for positioning the link 9 on the surface."
