MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014324 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'adaptable printing device.'
Inventor(s) include Rachna; Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur; Mani Ratan; and Piyush Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable printing device, comprising a body 1, a U-shaped handle 2 accessed by a user to acquire grip on the body 1, touch interactive display panel 3 accessed by the user to give input for a textual or design pattern that needs to be printed on a writable surface, an AI-based imaging unit 4 to capture images in vicinity of the body 1 to determine distance in between the body 1 and the surface, telescopically operated rod 5 to extend/retract for positioning a tactile sensor on surface, extendable links 7 extend for positioning a motorized roller 6 in proximity to the surface, telescopically operated hollow pins 8 extend in a regulated manner to form an embossed formation of the user-specified pattern, motorized roller 6 for applying pressure on the pins 8 to for the user-specified pattern and a multi-sectioned chamber 9 for storing color of paints."
