MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019857 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'adaptable rain shielding device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable rain shielding device comprising a curved frame 101 installed at edge of an object to be shielded from rain, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 installed on frame 101 to determine dimensions of object's edge, a drawer arrangement integrated in frame 101 to position frame 101 as per determined dimensions, multiple clamps 103 integrated on inner periphery of frame 101 to acquire a grip on edge, a roller 104 to rotate for uncoiling a transparent sheet in case of rain, a pair of extendable curved bars 105 with plurality of motorized clippers 106 for acquiring a grip on ends of uncoiled sheet for establishing sheet over object, plurality of motorized ball bearings 107 integrated on inner periphery of clamps 103 to translate frame 101 for ensuring deployed sheet restrict rain, plurality of LEDs (light emitting diodes) 108 mounted on frame 101 to provide visibility in surrounding of object."
