MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023138 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'adaptable resting assistive device for multiple users.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable resting assistive device for multiple users, comprising a pair of rectangular frames 1 positioned on a ground surface, plurality of wheels 2 arranged underneath each of the frames 1 to move the frames 1 over the surface, a display panel 3 installed on one of the frame 1 for receiving user's input, a drawer arrangement 8 integrated with each of frame 1 for increasing/decreasing dimensions of the frame 1 as per user-specified number of beds, a sliding unit integrated in between plates 4 arranged in the frames 1 and frame 1 to provide translation to the plates 4 for arranging the plates 4 at a required equidistant distance, a microphone 7 integrated on the frame 1 to receive voice command, Peltier units to provide cooling/heating effect to the user as per user's specifications, a motorized hinge joint 5 for opening a structure 6 to prevent user from falling."
