MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026071 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable resting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Radhika Giri; Dr. Aaruni Batta; Devansh Bansal; and Naveen Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable resting device, comprising of a cylindrical body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an imaging unit 4 installed inside the to determine accommodation of the user inside the body 1, an ultrasonic sensor for determining body 1 dimensions of the user, a pair of motorized sliding to translated along the sliding units 7 for getting arranged in proximity to face, back and knee portion of the user, an angle sensor for monitoring angle of the user's face, back and knee portion with respect to the first, second and third plates 8, and a motorized hinge joint 2 to tilt the plates 8 with respect to body 1 portions of the user in view of allowing the user to lay the user's body 1 portion on the plates 8 for attaining a resting posture inside the body 1."
