MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019643 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'adaptable resting device for sandy surface.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Akash Kumar Verma; and Aishwary Awasthi.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable resting device for sandy surface, comprising a frame 1 installed with multiple for positioning over a ground surface, a sensing module installed underneath frame 1 for monitoring hardness and moisture level of surface, a plate 7 attached on frame 1 accessed by user for attaining a resting posture on frame 1, a backrest 8 positioned on frame 1 for supporting user's back, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 9 installed on frame 1 for capturing and determining user's height, a pair of motorized sliding unit 10 assembled on lateral sides of backrest 8 for translating a L-shaped rod 11 arranged on each sliding units 10 to get translated along backrest 8 for positioning rods 11 in proximity to user's head in order to provide head rest to user, a LDR (Light-Dependent Resistor) sensor installed on frame 1 for detecting sunlight intensity in surrounding of frame 1."
