MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013275 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'adaptable shade installation system.'
Inventor(s) include Pankaj Mehta.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable shade installation system, comprising a plurality of plates 1 integrated with plurality of suction cups to affix the plates 1 over a wall, a body 3 arranged on the plates 1 for accommodating a motorized roller 4 coiled with a string integrated with a hook which is engaged with a loop integrated on a flexible sheet 9 installed over the area to provide shade, a LDR 5 integrated on the sheet 9 for monitoring intensity and direction of sunlight of the area, a rain detection sensor 6 installed on the sheet 9 for detecting presence of rain on the sheet 9, an imaging unit 7 installed on the plate 1 for monitoring position of the sheet 9 and an anemometer 8 integrated on the plate 1 for monitoring direction of wind in surrounding of the sheet 9."
