MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023557 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'adaptable sheltering device for open air places.'
Inventor(s) include Danish Meiraj; and Alok Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable sheltering device for open air places, comprising a frame 1 developed to be installed on a fixed vertical support 2 positioned on ground surface of an open air place, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 integrated with a processor for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1 to determine dimensions of the vertical support 2, extendable curved plates 4 to extend/retract for encircling the plates 4 around the support, motorized vertical sliding units 5 to translate the frame 1 in an upward/downward direction along the support in view of orienting the frame 1 over height of the people, plurality of flaps 6 each by means of a motorized hinge joint 7 to deploy the flaps 6 in a horizontal manner over the people in view of establishing a cover over the people."
