MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012433 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'adaptable snake feeding device.'
Inventor(s) include Ankita Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable snake feeding device, comprising a frame 1 having a handle 2 for gripping and positioning the frame 1, an imaging unit 3 determines positioning of the snake present, a panel 4 assembled at free end of frame 1 and integrated with a motorized clamping unit 5 that acquires a grip over the snake's head, a pair of sliding unit 6 translates a plate 13 on panel 4 towards snake's neck, a slider 8 configured with a cylindrical member 7 arranged on the frame 1 to translate member 7 towards clamping unit 5, a pair of tongs 9 arranged on the member 7 to position tongs 9 within the snake's mouth, a hinge integrated in between tongs 9 to converge/diverge tongs 9 within snake's mouth, and a chamber 11 integrated a motorized iris lid 12 in arranged in member 7 to get opened for dispensing a snake's medicine."
