MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003675 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'adaptable traffic regulation system.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable traffic regulation system, includes a frame 1 having two rods 2 installed on lateral sides of a road, a display panel 3 for displaying relevant traffic signs and routes which is regulated by microcontroller based on information fetched from linked database, a weather forecasting module 4 linked with a server via microcontroller for fetching latest weather update of nearby places, in case of extreme weather condition, an alert is displayed on the panel 3 to alert passerby/vehicles, global positioning system module for locating nearby residing industries to estimate pollution level that is displayed on panel 3 to alert passerby/vehicles to wear masks, a light dependent resistor sensor monitors light intensity in surrounding and accordingly multiple LEDs (light emitting diodes) 5 illuminates light for enhancing visibility, an imaging unit 6 to identify any accident on road which is reported to concerned authority for rescue purpose via communication module."
