MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024824 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable wooden artifacts manufacturing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Reetu; Dr. Anuradha Bhandari; Gurleen Kaur; and Nandini.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable wooden artifacts manufacturing assistive device comprises of, a platform 1 developed to be arranged on a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 mounted on the platform 1 for enabling the user to provide input specifications regarding a user-desired wooden curve required, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 arranged on the platform 1 to determine dimensions of the piece, a motorized cutter suspended from ceiling portion of the frame 4 to cut the evaluated portions of the he piece, a pair of C-shaped clamps 5 arranged on the platform 1 to grip the crafted piece from the evaluated portion and a robotic arm installed on the platform 1 to grip an electronically controlled nozzle integrated on the platform 1 via a conduit to dispense an adhesive solution stored in a chamber arranged on the platform 1 over the portion."
