MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087606 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'adaptable workpiece cutting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable workpiece cutting device, comprising an expandable rectangular shaped frame 1 integrated with a pair of telescopically operated vertical and horizontal rods 3, a pair of handles 4 are attached with the horizontal rods 3 for allowing a user(s) to position the frame 1 on a workpiece, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 installed on the frame 1 for capturing images of the workpiece, a touch interactive display panel 6 mapped on the frame 1 to input details regarding portion that the user desires to cut, a microphone 7 installed on the frame 1 for enabling the user to input voice command regarding installation of a cutting blade 10 on the frame 1, a touch sensor installed on the clamping units 9 for detecting successful gripping of the blade 10 and a magneto inductive sensor installed on the clamping units 9 for detecting sharpness of the blade 10."
