MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547097902 A) filed by Valeo Systemes D'Essuyage, Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis, France, on Oct. 10, for 'adapter for windscreen-wiper blade and wiping device.'

Inventor(s) include Gaucher, Vincent; and Jeanpierre, Jerome.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an adapter (1) that is configured to be able to join together a windscreen-wiper blade (300) and a windscreen-wiper arm (200), the adapter (1) comprising a locking device (11) having a flexible tab (12) supporting a locking lug (14) configured to be inserted into a corresponding opening (203) in the windscreen-wiper arm (200) in order to lock the longitudinal movement of the arm (200). The flexible tab (12) extends in a transverse direction (X), one end of the flexible tab (12) being connected to the side wall (3) and the other end supporting an unlocking button (13) accessible from one side of the adapter (1) opposite to the side wall (3), the flexible tab (12) being pivotable about a longitudinal pivot axis in order to disengage the locking lug (14) from the windscreen-wiper arm (200)."
