MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127712 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 16, 2025, for 'adaptive charging device for electronic gadgets.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive charging device for electronic gadgets, comprises of a hollow body 101 encasing a plurality of wires 102 and connected with a socket 103 for receiving and distributing electrical power, a set of brackets 104 for affixing the body 101 to a wall surface, a switch 105 provided with the body 101, operably connected to an inbuilt processing unit, accessed by user to initiate flow of electrical power to the socket 103, a touch-enabled display unit 106 to input power specifications and charging preferences, an electronic gadget holding arrangement to hold electronic gadgets, a motorized resistor ladder unit 201 to provide selective voltage and current regulation for charging electronic gadget, a positioning arrangement to handle insertion and removal of electronic gadgets, a storage chamber 112 comprising multiple compartments for different electronic gadget, and a shock prevention arrangement to enhance safety around electrical socket 103."
