MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005870 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 29, 2024, for 'adaptive feeding assistive device for infants.'
Inventor(s) include Sumandeep Raina; Ramandeep Raina; and Mandeep Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive feeding assistive device for infants, comprising a body 1 positioned over a fluid-filled bottle for babies, a primary lid 6 for securing the bottle with body 1, a touch-enabled screen 4 enables users to input the age of infant, a chamber 7 between first and second portions 2, 3 contains rollers 8 wrapped with a nipple, extending through a secondary lid 9 based on the age of infant, a flow meter at the first portion 2 monitors fluid flow and if the flow exceeds a threshold, a built-in microcontroller closes the primary lid 6 to regulate flow according to the age of infant, a temperature sensor inside the body 1 detects bottle fluid temperature and if temperature is inappropriate for the infant's age, the microcontroller closes the primary lid 6 and activates a speaker 5 to alert the user with voice commands."
