MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018852 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'adaptive feeding assistive device for infants.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Soubhagya Mishra.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive feeding assistive device for infants, comprising a curved shape frame 1 to be accessed by a user to position an infant over the frame 1, a semicircular member to gripe the frame 1 over neck portion of the user, a strap 3 for enabling user to position the strap 3 over the user's shoulder, a drawer arrangement to extend for securing the neck portion, a clamping unit 5to hold a bottle, a U-shaped link 6to engage the feeding bottle with the clamping unit, an AI-based imaging unit 7 to capture multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1, a pair of motorized ball and socket joint 8 to provide a required angular movement to the member, an inflatable unit 9 for providing comfort to the infant while being placed over the frame 1 and an air compressor 10 for inflating/deflating the inflatable unit."
