MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087607 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'adaptive foot wearable device for pet.'

Inventor(s) include Sujayaraj Samuel Jayakumar.

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive foot wearable device for pet, comprising a body 1 developed to be accommodated with a foot of a pet, a pair of straps 2 are equipped with body 1 for securing pet's foot, a camera 3 detecting dimensions of pet's foot, an inflatable unit 4 installed within body 1 actuated by microcontroller for inflating unit in view of gripping pet's foot within body 1, a LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) sensor 6 for detecting type of surface over which pet is walking, multiple plates 7, fabricated with rubber 8, installed at a side periphery of body 1 and initially positioned within body 1, microcontroller actuates a double-rack gear arrangement 9 for translating and positioning plates 7 in contact with surface in order to provide a proper friction to body 1 over surface, and multiple pneumatic pins 10 extend for allowing proper gipping of body 1 over surface."
