MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611027078 A) filed by K. R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, Haryana, on March 8, for 'adaptive thermoregulating activewear fabric with synergistic moisture and heat management.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an adaptive thermoregulating fabric for activewear and performance garments. The fabric integrates multichannel polyester for rapid moisture transport, hygroscopic cellulosic fibres for moisture absorption, microencapsulated phase change material (PCM) for heat buffering, and optional conductive additive zones to accelerate heat dissipation. The mechanisms operate simultaneously to reduce overheating, improve drying, enhance comfort and provide wash-durable performance."
