Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Adeno-Associated Virus Vector Encoding Connexin 26 And Uses Thereof' Filed by Sensorion; and Institut Pasteur

MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547093774 A) filed by Sensorion; and Institut Pasteur, Montpellier, France, on Sept. 30, for 'adeno-associated virus vector encoding connexin 26 and uses thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Desire, Laurent; Giese, Arnaud; Vidal, Patrice; Petit, Christine; Heritier, Anne-Valerie; and Michalski, Nicolas.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) vector encoding connexin 26 (CX26). The present invention further relates to the use of said AAV vector in the treatment of genetic hearing loss."
