MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088507 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 23, 2023, for 'adhesive tape application assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shiv Bharat Singh.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adhesive tape application assistive device, comprising a C-shaped extendable body 1 accommodated with a spool of an adhesive tape to be applied by a user on a fixed surface, a microphone 2 mapped on body 1 for feeding length of tape to be applied, a camera 3 mounted on body 1 for detecting diameter of spool, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 4 configured with body 1, each equipped with an omnidirectional wheel 5 for allowing the user to maneuver the body 1, an electronic nozzle attached with a chamber 6 installed with body 1 via an L-shaped link 11 for dispensing adhesive solution on surface, an RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) sensor for detecting revolutions of wheel 5, and an L-shaped bar 7 installed with body 1 and configured with a blade 8 via a crane arrangement 9 which extends the blade 8 near tape for cutting tape."
