MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088502 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 23, 2023, for 'adhesive tape application device.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adhesive tape application device, comprising an inverted U-shaped frame 1, a handle 4 that allows user to place frame 1 on a fixed surface, a pair motorized wheel 5 providing movement to frame 1 on surface, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 determines presence and dimension of an adhesive tape roll that user desires to engage within frame 1 and synchronously microcontroller directs a motorized hinge joint 7 configured with a plate 8 for providing movement to plate 8 in a manner that aids in exposing of a motorized spool 9, an inflating unit actuated by microcontroller for allowing proper accommodation of roll manually inserted by user, and an ultrasonic sensor for detecting length of applied tape directs a robotic link configured with a motorized cutter 13 mapped on frame 1 for cutting tape."
