MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017933 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'adhesive tape spool holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Rahul Vishnoi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adhesive tape spool holding device comprises of, an elongated body 1 attached with a pair of suction cups 2 for adhering the body 1 on a fixed surface, a cylindrical member 3 to accommodate an adhesive tape spool, a camera 5 for detecting free-end of the adhesive tape, a pair of flaps 6 installed with a pair of wedge-shaped units 7 for scraping off free-end via the unit, a motorized hinge for tilting the link, and a pair of telescopically operated grippers 9 arranged with each of the flaps 6 for gripping and adhering the free-end on one of the flaps 6, a pair of motorized pivot joints 12 for covering a blade attached with each of the flaps 6, a pair of motorized pivot joints 12 for tilting one of frames 10 away from the blade, and a blade for cutting the tape of the desired length."
