MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020670 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'adjustable backpack carrying device.'
Inventor(s) include Jayanta Kumar Mahato; Shivani Sharma; Deepa Rana; and Gargi Chaudhary.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an adjustable backpack carrying device, comprising an extendable frame 1 configured with a pair of wheels 2 that allows movement of frame 1 on ground surface and accessed by a user to place a backpack that user desires to carry, a pair of letches 3 connected with frame 1 for enabling user to secure strap 4 around backpack with a pair of hooks attached on frame 1, an ultrasonic sensor installed on frame 1 for detecting height of user, a wearable body 7 connected with frame 1 via a pair of supporting links 8 accommodated by user around waist portion, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 9 installed on frame 1 for capturing and determining type of surface."
