MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011183 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 10, for 'adjustable beverage can holding device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shakti Prakash Jena.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable beverage can holding device, comprise of a frame having an extendable U-shaped member 101 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, plurality of rods 102 supporting frame on surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 to detect height of a user, a motorized drawer arrangement to increase/ decrease dimensions of the member 101, a suction unit paired with plurality of suction cups 104 for adhering cups 104 on the can, a robotic arm 105 to position a motorized can opener in proximity to cap of the can, a motorized ball and socket joint 106 in order to remove cap of can, a microphone 107 to provide voice commands regarding opening of cap, a motorized roller 201 for rotating on its to unwind an insulating sheet 202 over can, multiple motorized hinge joints for providing movement to multiple inverted U-shaped links 203 in order to deploy sheet 202."
