MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025975 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adjustable bread toast handling device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable bread toast handling device, comprising an elongated body 1 having handle that is accessed by user for acquiring grip over body 1, V-shaped member 2 that is positioned by user in proximity to an auxiliary bread toaster, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on body 1 to determine dimensions and number of bread toasts present in proximity to body 1, pair of electromagnetic springs 4 are configured in between member 2 that are energized/ de-energized to extend/ retract for creating an ample amount of spacing for holding bread toasts, angle sensor 5 mapped on body 1 for monitoring angle of bread toast with respect to body 1, multiple hinges 6 configured within member 2 to modulate shape of member 2 in order to hold bread toast within member 2, rubberized block 7 integrated at apex of each of members 2 for acquiring a grip over bread toast."
