MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013514 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'adjustable carriage device for disabled.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable carriage device for disabled, comprising a L-shaped extendable plate 1 installed with two straps 2 for allowing user to carry plate 1 over back portion, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on plate 1 which determines person's body structure accordingly a motorized drawer arrangement integrated in the plate 1 extends and orients plate 1 to accommodate person on plate 1 which is detected by a weight sensor mapped on plate 1, a pair of telescopically operated U-shaped clamps 4 assembled on plate 1 for clamping person's legs to secure person on plate 1, a pair of semi-circular shaped flexible frame 5 hinged with each side of plate 1 which are deployed by motorized hinges for securing around waist portion of person, two motorized roller rotate and wrap frame 5 to properly secure person's waist."
