MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023112 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'adjustable clubfoot securing device for shoes.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable clubfoot securing device for shoes, comprises of a curved plate 1 developed to be installed on rim portion of a shoes, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 integrated with a processor for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of the plate 1, plurality of motorized hinges 3 to tilt portions of the plate 1, plurality of motorized clippers 5 to acquire a grip on rim portion of the shoes, an angle sensor or monitoring angle of the user's foot with respect to rim portion of the shoes, a laser emitter 4 to project beam of laser light at an appropriate angle with respect to sad shoes, a curved flap 6 integrated with plurality of motorized hinge joints 7 to tilt portions of the flaps, a motorized gripper 8 for fasten lace/zipper of the shoes."
