MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013350 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'adjustable commodities storage assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable commodities storage assistive device, comprises of a plate 1 installed at base of a shelf installed with an imaging unit 2 to determine dimension of the shelf, a drawer arrangement 3 configured with the plate 1 to extend/retract the plate 1 for accommodating plate 1 on the shelf, multiple suction units to affix plate 1 on the shelf, an ultrasonic sensor to detect positioning of commodities on the plate 1, a motorized sliding unit 5 integrated on the plate 1 to translate a holding assembled near the accommodated commodities, multiple extendable curved bars 7 to restrict the accommodated commodities, multiple motorized hinge integrated the bars 7 to vary the angle of bars 7 and a L-shaped flap 8 integrated on the plate 1 by means of a motorized guiding rail to cover the commodity for minimizing the leakage."
