MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019282 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable commodity storage device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable commodity storage device, comprising a platform 1 having multiple plates 2 for affixing with table's edge by means of suction cups 3, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 determines type of object along with size of object and synchronously microcontroller actuates multiple motorized hinge joints 5 for providing movement to plates 2 in a manner that adjusts shape of platform 1 according to space required for storing commodity, multiple weight sensors for detecting placement of commodity on plates 2 along with weight distribution of commodity for actuating L shaped telescopic rods 6 for extending to position a pair of rectangular shaped members 7 in order to secure commodity over platform 1 and a moisture sensor and a dust sensor detecting presence of moisture and dust particles on plates 2 for actuating an air blower 8 in order to remove dust particles and moisture."
