MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006210 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'adjustable cooking assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Chef Deepak; and Siddharth.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable cooking assistive device comprises of a cylindrical shaped body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to the body 1 on a fixed surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 to determine presence of any user in vicinity to the body 1, a speaker 5 to notify the user to place a utensil over the body 1, a chamber 6 for storing multiple wooden strips, an opening to insert the strips inside the chamber 6, a slider crank arrangement 15 for providing movement to a lid 12 to open an outlet 16 crafted on the chamber 6, a motorized gripper 7 for gripping the strips, an inverted L-shaped telescopic bar 8 for extending to translate the strips into the body 1, and an electric ignitor 11 installed inside the body 1 for igniting flame inside the body 1 to cook the food."
