MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014269 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'adjustable cooking assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Aditya; and Simranjeet Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable cooking assistive device comprises of an elongated body 1 having a proximal and distal end, a curved lid 3 arranged at distal end that is positioned by user over a utensil utilized for cooking food, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the body 1, an expandable pulley arrangement 5 expand/contract a lid for allowing lid to establish a cover over utensil, a pressure sensor integrated on inner side of lid for monitoring steam pressure generated inside utensil, multiple iris lids get opened in a regulated manner for allowing steam to escape out of utensil, a color sensor integrated on lid for monitoring color of food item to evaluate a cooking status of food item, an extendable L-shaped bar 7 for positioning a flap 8 integrated on the bar underneath food item to toss food item."
