MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019816 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'adjustable cushioning device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Gayatri Nayak.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable cushioning device, comprising a rectangular frame 101 composed of four telescopic links connected with one another by means of hinges, frame 101 adapted to be placed on a sitting surface, an air cushion connected with an air inflation unit for providing a cushioned surface to user for sitting, a laser sensor detects dimensions of sitting surface, a plurality of sliding units 102 having a T-shaped telescopic rod 103 installed by means of a ball and socket joint, for inserting into recesses of sitting surface to prevent a slippage of frame 101 from sitting surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 104 determine position of recesses in sitting surface and a Peltier unit maintain temperature of air cushion within a predetermined temperature range."
