MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024061 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'adjustable drowning prevention device for animals.'

Inventor(s) include Atul Kumar; and Dr. Karunendra Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable drowning prevention device for animals comprise of, a platform 1 developed to be arranged on a ground surface, in proximity to a water body, a pair of motorized drilling unit 2 to drill cavity against the surface for getting firmly affixed on the surface, a motorized roller 3 configured over each of the drilling unit 2 to rotate for wrapping/unwrapping a rope coiled on the roller 3, a free end of the ropes are allow movement of the platform 1 inside the water body while being anchored on the surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 8 linked with a SONAR (sound navigation and ranging) sensor to detect presence of an animal inside the water body, a pair of motorized propellers 5 to move the platform 1 towards the animal, and an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring distance of the platform 1 with the animal."
