MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019389 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable eatable cutting assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable eatable cutting assistive device comprises of an extendable housing 1 configured with a curved lid 2 hinged with apex portion of housing 1 to allow opening and closing of housing 1, an imaging unit 3 installed within housing 1 and for detecting dimensions of stick, a pair of motorized drawer arrangement 4 to provide extension to housing 1 in order to regulate dimension of housing 1 in accordance to stick, a touch interactive display panel 5 to provide input regrading number of slices to be cut, a pair of motorized sliding units 6 to provide translation to a blade 8 configured between sliding units 6 for cutting a slice of stick, an electromagnetic spring 9 arranged to push stick via flap 10, and a plate 11 to receive cut slices via an outlet 12 crafted over housing 1."
