MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018858 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'adjustable foot supporting device for disabled.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Hare Krishna Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable foot supporting device for disabled comprising a frame 1 for allowing a user to engage lower portion of the user's leg, multiple plates 2, multiple motorized hinges 3 to tilt the plates 2 as per the user's leg dimensions, an AI-based imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1, a pair of motorized rollers 5 for tightening/loosening of a looped strap 6around the user's foot, a pair of telescopically operated L-shaped rods 7 to extend/retract to position flap under the user's foot, a thermal sensor 9to monitor presence of swelling in the user's leg, a motorized ball and socket joint 10for providing angular movement to the flap 8 and a Peltier unit 11 to provide heating/cooling fomentation to the user's foot."
