MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017930 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'adjustable forearm supporting device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sandeep Bishnoi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable forearm supporting device, comprising an extendable platform 1 developed to be connected with a fixed surface that is preferably accessed by a user to perform various activities, a U-shaped member 2 for accommodating an edge portion of the fixed surface, a laser sensor installed on the member 2 for detecting accommodation of the edge portion, a pneumatic pin 3 arranged inside the member 2 for extending to secure the member 2 with the edge portion, a weight sensor mapped on the platform 1 for detecting placement of the user's arm on the platform 1, a pair of motorized hinge joints 4 arranged on each side of the platform 1 for deploying a pair of semi-cylindrical shaped extendable plate 5 attached with each of the joints 4, over the arm, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 mounted on the platform 1 for determining size of the arm."
