MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013274 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'adjustable grocery storage device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable grocery storage device, comprisinga rectangular shaped expandable frame 1 positioned on a trailer portion 2 of a vehicle, multiple telescopic rods 4 arranged underneath the frame 1 attached with a suction cup 3 for securing the frame on the trailer portion 2, multiple vacuum-based gripping units 5 connected with the frame 1 via multiple stretchable ropes 6 securing the frame 1 with side walls, an imaging unit 7 installed on the frame 1 determines dimensions of the trailer portion 2, multiple flexible storage bags 8 associated with the device storing grocery items, multiple motorized clamps 9 assembled on the frame 1 holding the bags, multiple hooks 10 attached with the frame 1 engaging the bags and an electromagnetically operated lock 11 integrated with each of the hooks 10 for securing bags with the hooks 10."
