MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005548 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 27, 2024, for 'adjustable horn shaping device for animals.'

Inventor(s) include Anamol Gautam; Ashwini K. Sharma; and Navdeep Prashar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable horn shaping device for animals, comprises of a housing 1 accessed by a user for accommodating a horned animal within the housing 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed within the housing 1 to determine dimensions of the animals along with condition of the animal's horns, a motorized clamping unit 3 arranged at base of the housing 1 to acquire a grip at the animal's neck, a container 5 arranged at the base to involve the animal in eating animal feed stored in the container 5 in order to maintain bent state of the animal's neck, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 7 arranged on wall of the housing 1 for positioning a ring 8 equipped with the rod 7 over the animal's horn, and an electromagnetically powered springs 15 connected with pushers 14 for orienting the pusher in contact with the horn to straighten the horn."
