MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018856 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'adjustable marble cutting and transportation device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable marble cutting and transportation device, comprising a housing 1 developed to be placed on a ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 for providing input regarding dimensions of a slab, an AI-based imaging unit 3 for capturing multiple images of the housing 1, an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring dimensions of the slab, a hydraulically operated L-shaped rod for extending/retracting, a motorized cutter 5 for cutting pieces of the slab, a pair of hydraulically operated robotic arms 6for acquiring a grip over the cut pieces of the slab, a platform for loading the cut pieces on the platform, a GPS module for monitoring real time location of the housing 1, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 7 for moving the housing 1 towards user-specified location for transporting the cut pieces of the slab, an angle sensor for determining angle of the cut pieces with respect to the platform."
