MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024037 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'adjustable marble pellet collection assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Neelam Kumari; and Ankit Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable marble pellet collection assistive device, comprising an elongated body 1 having a proximal 2 and distal end 3, a handle 12 is fabricated on proximal 2 end accessed by user, a LiDAR sensor for determining distance of surface from distal end 3, a hydraulic actuator to extend/retract for distal end 3 in proximity to surface, a microphone 4 for providing input voice commands regarding user-desired marble pellets to be collected, an imaging unit 5 to determine dimensions of scattered pellets, an expandable conical member 6 expand/contract for increasing dimensions of member 6 as per user-specified marble pellet, a suction pump 8 to create a negative pressure in rod 7 for extracting detected user-specified marble pellets, a motorized sliding unit 9 arranged in rod 7 to provide upward translation to accommodate user-specified pellets and touch sensor embedded on flap 13 for detecting presence of translated pellets."
