MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013455 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'adjustable nest protection device.'

Inventor(s) include Vaneet Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable nest protection device includes a body 1 positioned on a branch via multiple clamping units 2, an imaging-unit 3 captures multiple images in vicinity of body 1 exhibited on a display panel 4 accessed by a user for selecting a nest present on tree to be protected, an ultrasonic sensor synced with imaging unit 3 monitors distance of nest from body 1 and presence of birds in nest, a weather sensing module monitors presence of rain and harsh sunlight, in case of rain, a bar 5 extends for positioning an integrated plate 6 over nest from a distance to prevent wetting of nest, in case of harsh sunlight, multiple hinges 7 integrated in plate 6 tilts plate 6 to form a canopy over nest to protect birds and nest from harsh sunlight, in case predators is detected, and an ultrasonic emitter 8 generates ultrasonic radiations for deterring predator."
